Attempted Assassination of Antith Meena and Damdai Stern

During the Festival of Isran in the year 1502, Vizier Antith Meena and Tebtai Ambassador Damdai Stern are attacked aboard the Vizier's barge. This event triggers a great period of paranoia and unrest in Raha.

After the Vizier had made his offering to Isran, a number of Raha Guard aboard his barge doffed their cloaks, to reveal the lamellar armour typical of the Kayemba. These assassins attacked the Vizier's personal guard, and Damdai Stern's [Stoic Guard.   Many of the guards were killed, but the assassination attempt was ultimately foiled by the adventurers Tama Jotha and ZANTHAMOR ARCHIDON, who would later go on to form the Coward Sluggers adventuring party.   The Vizier and the Ambassador were safe, but the event sparked a great deal of hostility and unrest within the city. It was widely believed that the assassins were Kayemba, either part of a terrorist sect, religious cult, or sent expressly by the Kayemba Elders. The Viceroy Usaf Toll enlisted Tama and ZANTHAMOR to further investigate the crime.
