Drashear (Dra-shear)
Drashear is the capital city in the southern beachfront tip of the country of Jorder. It is a complicated city in a state of upheaval and change. They are in a Constitutional Monarchy. The King is a figurehead without much power beyond a seat on the council. The city is ruled by the elected leaders of the nine areas of the city, the king, and the Supreme Commander of Drashear’s Military Force. The districts in the city are Craftsman Lane, Kings Castle, RedBox Borough, Western Docks, Blue Borough, Eastern Docks, Eastway Borough, University Ward, and Justice Sector.
Districts
Craftsman Lane - Where all the crafters are located. You will find the smithy, fletcher, mason, leatherworker, alchemist, herbalist, carpenter, brewer, runesmith, and more. Many only sell to stores; others have wares they sell at this location.
Kings Castle - Is like it sounds, the king’s castle and his grounds. The towers and roofs of this castle are dark blue. King Urth Mournfallow Drashear, a human with long curly brown hair, blue eyes, and tan skin, inhabits it. He is accompanied by his husband, a half-orc, Krat Mournfallow, and their young son of eight years, Urth Mournfallow Drashear the 2nd. Other notable figures at the castle are Supreme Commander Soldod Tigiko, a leonin female with tan fur and brown eyebrow markings, and her mate Taiki a male leonin who is the herbalist in Craftsman Lane.
RedBox Borough - Where most of the fishermen and poor people in town live; the name comes from the tiny red box houses everyone in this area lives in. It also includes a relatively sizeable multi-denominational temple with a red roof, a general store, an inn, and several bars. Notable locations are Rund's Wares, Bow Temple, and Piecemeal Inn.
Western Docks - The shadier of the docks. Like the RedBox Borough, most roofs are red; the closer you get to the ocean, the salt has worn them to their natural wooden color. This area has a market butting up against the RedBox Borough. Closer inland, there are warehouses and workshops: mostly fishermen, bars/taverns, and a rickety temple to the Wildmother on the beach. Notable locations are The Tasty Pencil Inn, The Ugly Pen Bar, The Humble Captain Supply Store, Melora’s Beach Temple, and The Rare Spoon Pawn Store.
Blue Borough - This is where the city's nobles live that is wreathed in shrubbery-covered iron gates. The roofs are all a neutral blue. It hosts a fancier market open to the upper class and approved individuals. It also hosts a rather large, overly decorated temple to Behamat, The Platinum Dragon, at its center. The Noble Houses in the district include House Deiha, House Goldscream, and House Hillpelt. Notable locations are Sew Cute the Tailor, Saving Cake the Bakery, We're Hair Salon, The Imaginary Note Florist, Bags Bunny, and the Temple of Behamat, run by the High Priest Cour d'Éther.
Eastern Docks - A more upstanding version of the Western docks. Roofs are a wooden color unpainted. There is no significant market, but fishermen are selling their wares, taverns, inns, warehouses, and a temple to the Stormlord. Notable locations are Oh my Cod, a Tavern and Inn, The Wet Shoe Bar, The Sandy Fork Tavern, and Kords Temple.
Eastway Borough - This is where the middle class of Drashear lives. These are your everyday people. Their roofs are a wooden color. They have a general goods store, a few more specialized stores, a multi-denominational temple with a wooden roof, an inn, a small park with a fountain and a sitting area, and a few taverns. It hosts several guild buildings, including the adventurers guild. It also has a few pagodas on its beach for public use. Notable locations are The Plain Forest Inn, The Grumpy Train Tavern and Bar, The Black Cloak Butcher Shop, The Sleeping Pepper Takeaway, The Careful Pot Barbershop, and Wooden It Be Nice Trinkets.
University Ward - This is where Drashear’s University is housed. People from all over Jorder come to learn at this school. It houses dorms, several buildings for different types of learning, and a library where the university and the Cobalt Soul jointly work. A well-known and vast museum sits on its campus as well. It also has a specialized marketplace for magical items… usually made by the students. Notable locations are Stuknid’s Magical Supplies, The Rumbullion Museum and the Goldscream Library.
Justice Sector - This is where the city guard building is located, the barracks and the city council building. All the roofs are a shade of light blue. It also houses a large statue of a man wielding a tower shield with a large sea serpent emblazoned and a polearm. A plaque below reads: "King Drashear who treated with (unreadable) and gave us this land. May we keep it safe and never (unreadable)."
