The Destruction of Ethos

In a drastic move now deemed by historians as unethical the Citalian Military took a shot at the moon of Rashuldvia, Ethos. A staple of Rashuldvian culture and key to their most powerful units in their military, Werewolves. Citalia wished to crush both the morale of the people and the strength of their warriors. After a long battle, they were successful.

Ethos, a cultural staple and powerful semi-religious icon in Rashuldvian culture one day became the target of mad Citalian scientists and generals who wished to weaken and demoralize the enemy army.   On the 15th day of the 11th month the battle began. Citalian space brigades led the charge on the planet in the late afternoon outnumbering Rashuldvian forces 2:1. Rashuldvia scrambled their space brigade quickly only loosing a small amount of ground. The space battle lasted many hours but come the morning of the 16th Citalian had broken through Rashuldvian lines and landed their mining device on the surface of Ethos. What would follow would be the culmination of the entire military might of the galaxy. The Citalian forces had cornered themselves on the surface of Ethos taking shelter in trenches and portable strongholds. The mining apparatus in order to work needed to reach the center of the moon and detonate which would release a minor portable black hole that would suck the moon inside it piece by piece into an astral plane where Citalian scientists and smiths could access the materials.   This goal would take an estimated 5 more days to complete without interruption. Interruption was impossible to avoid as Rashuldvia and its allies would bomb the trenches every hour and ground forces would maintain a constant fire on the strongholds while the dwarves of Vernos would mine in from the side to collapse tunnels and cut off Citalian forces. However the most surprising move made by Rashuldvian forces was the arrival of the Parsalis prisoners on the 24th. Dropped in on top of Citalian lines and led by Rogar Blackfist, these prisoners brutally and savagely waded through the Citalian Trenches and trapped the soldiers down in the tunnel to the center.   Cornered by Parsalians around them, Rashuldvians up top, and suspected interference from neutral planets (officially this not true) encircling them and in the sky the Mining team had no choice. They had to detonate the mining device now, and sacrifice themselves. The team set the timer and locked arms around the bomb. The Waste Kings and Rashuldvians would dig down to see the timer ticking away and a hail of bullets coming at them. They retreated, and the device went off. All ground forces were consumed by the black hole and only the leaders in their ships and the Waste Kings who fled the moon survived. The black hole opened and consumed Ethos from the inside and scarred the face of Rashuldvia.
