Voxia

The cradle of humanity, on this green speck in the wide galaxy is where the first humans walked.

Geography

Voxia is largely comprised of grassland and marshes with a few forests scattered around. Of course much of the natural ecosystems have been pushed back into cordoned off areas of the world as cities and towns have taken over. These cities aren't nearly at the grandioseness of Citalia and are more on par with small towns. There aren't many large bodies of water on Voxia but instead a couple of well known lakes. Sturgeon, Rockpond, and Nesser are the three main lakes of Voxia all with a complex system of rivers and creeks that sprawl across the planet like veins.

Fauna & Flora

People: As the cradle of humanity, Voxia is saturated with many different varieties of humans. Now there is a decent mix due to the blending of cultures and missionary efforts. It wouldnt be uncommon to see any race in the galaxy devot their lives to the new gods of the Voxian Church.   Animals: The forests of Voxia lend themselves to a variety of animals and monsters. They are most known however, for the presence of many unique species such as Jackalopes, Vampire Squirrels, Jack Fish, Cockatrice's, and Rock Beavers   Plants: While not an extremely lush planet they are the natural habitat for many medicinal plants such as Hake and Azrulian Shrubs.

Natural Resources

This planet has a near monopoly on Hake, the main herbal component of Health Stims. It is their main export along with Jack Fish slime which is used in many industrial settings. The Church of Voxia always makes sure that their buyers are reputable and official to avoid selling to unsavory organizations that go against their teachings.

History

Voxia is the home planet of the human race. Long ago Voxia was divided and controlled by a variety of Kingdoms such as Aderran, Barria, Tempera, and Harrion. These great cities still stand to this day though are no longer controlled by individual rulers. Instead during the brief adjustment period after they were visited by Kenku scouts in 0 AE the people all began to panic and feared invasion. There was never any indication of this but The Church of Voxia stepped in and united everyone under the banner of faith. The church would continue to rule Voxia and shepherd their flock through hard times and good times to this very day. Eventually, in 35 AE people began to colonize the planets that were being discovered and brought with them the Voxian faith. As such Voxia is now regarded as a holy planet where pilgrimages are made to and were the galaxy centers themselves in times of crisis. There have only been a handful of times when Voxia has had to intervene on the galactic stage. The Disappearance of Marzansin in 65 GA is an example. Every other time has been for more humanitarian reasons such as aiding refugees from the Citalian-Rashuldvian Civil War, performing a funerary service for Vernos in 848 GA and erecting a memorial on the planet, and hosting the Venenzian Peace summit in 1200 EW/AW. When people ask where the heart of the galaxy is, the answer is Voxia. In 1221 AW it was revealed that the ruler was actually an imposter and the true High Priestess Sandiva was actually murdered. This resulted in a crisis in faith as the leader of the planet and the Church of Voxia was an imposter and as such has left open the seat of rulership to any number of people. Many individuals within the church scrambled to take the vacant seat but the people of the planet were more intrigued in putting a none religious figure in the seat of power. This began a huge debate on the planet as to who should rule.

Tourism

Many individuals across the galaxy make pilgrimage to the holy city of Tempera. If you were to believe the stories, this was the first city created by the gods after they took humanity and fled their holy planet after it was destroyed by Urolog. As such many individuals long to stand in the church to the New Gods who statues stand semicircle forming a cradle from a god point of view for humanity to stand in.
