The Redwatch
The Galactic Cops. The Redwatch tries to remain out of conflicts between planets unless it leads to the destruction of all. Their main purpose however is to defend against monsters and demons that may exit the RedZone.

History
Established in 9 AE by Commander Jack Sun of the Voxian-Salavaria Federation (VSF) after his deadly encounter with a Beholder on route back from Zakatash. Once he returned to VSF space station he petitioned the leaders to create the Redwatch which was passed without any resistance. 3 years later the Redwatch Space Station was built in the year 12 AE and Jack Sun was elected as its first Commander. It was he who would escort all expeditions to and eventually into the RedZone during his command. Then in the year 15 AE a request was proposed by members of the Lumenarres Library to construct a gate that would pierce the energy that surrounds the outside of the RedZone and allow for travel inside. The measure was approved and The Dread Gate was built in 20 AE with its first manned expedition in the year 21 AE. The Dread Gate was shut down though years later in 49 AE due to the Parsalis Doctrine being passed by the VSF. With the closure of The Dread Gate the Redwatch began to continue with their original mission to eliminate monsters and demons that manage to escape the RedZone. They set up 5 outposts spaced around the RedZone to allow for full surveillance. The most famous outpost is Outpost 5 for their part in the Citalian-Rashuldvian Civil war extracting Dorgon from the RedZone to sell to Citalia.
A few hundred years pass and the Redwatch's responsibilities have shifted to in addition to defending the galaxy from monsters and demons they have also become the galactic police, Enforcing the laws established by the Galactic Council. In the year 510 GA it is arguable that the Redwatch became a bit lax in their main mission to guard the RedZone and as a result they weren't prepared for Zorg's Invasion. Zorg, demon prince and 9th son of Urolog, led a force of demons through the RedZone and attacked Parsalis, destroying Outpost 2 along the way. The Waste Kings held the demons at bay while the Redwatch gathered forces and came to their aid. With the cooperation between the two Zorg was defeated, the first time a demon prince was ever killed. This created a fear around the RedZone and brought it back into the public eye. Then in 535 Commander Harkun along with other ambassadors petitioned to have The Dread Gate reopened to allow for expeditions to eradicate demons inside the RedZone. With extra safety measures installed the petition was recognized and approved. This is the current state of the Redwatch, defending the galaxy from demons and monsters and running extermination missions inside the RedZone.
