Fah'Doon
Fah'doon is a broken archipelago in the middle of Jangean, inhabited by nomadic elves who raise animals and cultivate crops. The islands have a rough terrain with steep cliffs and deep valleys. Despite the harsh environment, the elves have adapted to their way of life and have become skilled farmers, known for their delicious crops and unique livestock.
The animals that the elves keep include higgies, which are a cross between pigs and sheep, which they use for meat, milk and wool and luckies, which are chicken-like creatures that lay eggs used for cooking and baking. Additionally, the elves keep shirch, a type of large, slow-moving land crab that is commonly used as a source of protein in their diet and a small and hardy breed of cattle called stoats, which have large curved horns and shaggy coats to protect them from the harsh weather..
The islands are covered with a variety of plants, including the blue-flowered garroway that is used for medicinal purposes, the sweet and tangy emberberry which is used for cooking, and the twisted and thorny weeping vine that is used for weaving baskets and ropes. One of the most valuable plants though is a type of moss that grows in the crevices of rocks along the coastline. This moss has antibacterial properties and can be used to dress wounds and prevent infections.
The history of the elf nomads on the Fah'doon archipelago is a dark one, as they were driven from their homeland by an invading army many years ago. They have been wandering the islands ever since, searching for a new home, but have found no place that they can call their own. Despite this, they have managed to survive and even thrive on the harsh and unforgiving islands, using their knowledge of the land and their resourcefulness to eke out a living.
