The Elves split their nation into the North and South Wildlands due to differing views.

The Elves of the Wildlands begin to disagree on the way they run their nation, and relations are tense. One group wanted to remain as a tribal, nomadic group with a single leader, because of the simplicity of that lifestyle. The others wanted to evolve and civilise their species, build cities and permanent structures and expand. To prevent a war, they split their nation into the North and the South Wildlands, separated by the massive Wild Gate and a massive mountain range.     The two subspecies of High (North) and Wood (South) Elves are still separated to this day, and have little contact with each other, but the few times they have met were toxic and have damaged the relationship further. There is fears that war may be inevitable.
