Drow are Exiled

The Dark Elves, who shared the Wildlands with the other Elves, are found to worship Demonics and are promptly exiled.

Demonics are foul, marauding creatures who seek to feed off of the energy in the species of the multiverse. In the early days of the Wildlands, the Dark Elves worshipped the Demonics in the hope of achieving power over the other elven species, who, disgusted, exiled them to a small island. The island's name was Duagmyr, and it would be where the Drow would stay for the next 8,000 years, with no contact with the other Elves. The Demonics allowed them to jump from world to world at the expense of a little of their life force, and so they can escape the island without travelling to the Wildlands.
