Wood elves

Wood elves are an elven ethnic group who inhabit the Gildengraves. They are descended from the elves who chose to return to the Gildengraves to reclaim the earthen power of Duyunthiz. As the descendants of Duyunthiz, they are capable of accessing the vitality of the earth to heal themselves.

History

The wood elves are descended from the elves who returned to the woodlands surrounding the Gildengraves in order to reclaim the ancient power of Duyuthiz.

Appearance

Yulthyrabhs males usually stand at around 5-feet-and-2 inches in height and are slender, while females tend to be a few inches taller, a few pounds heavier, and a fair bit stronger. Yulthyrabh eyes tend to be green, hazel, or brown, and males tend to have slightly larger eyes.   Some communes, having interbred with humans in order to better withstand cold conditions, bear typically non-elven traits such as slightly-darker-than-white skin and noticeable terminal hair, allowing some to grow light facial hair. In a very rare genetic mutation, yulthyrabhs who are ostensibly pureblooded can grow facial hair; this is usually observed as a sign that the male is destined to be a strong warrior.

Abilities

The Power of Duyunthiz affords the wood elves a great deal of awareness, as they are very grounded in the reality of the earth, moreso than even humans. They possess uncanny perception and coordination, and even a moderately-skilled wood-elven warrior is one of the few mortals who can effectively wield two swords in each hand.
