Born a nobleman to a prestigious family owning vast amount of land Bartholomew often played with the workhand's children of their vast estate. His parents were strict and scolded him for "associating with the rabble" but this never deterred him. At 17 he fell in love with the gardeners daughter, a beautiful woman as delicate as a flower, they tended the grounds together stealing kisses in the shadows as they went, until one day his father found out of this affair and forced Bartholomew to watch as he slew the love of his life in the very garden they loved and cared for. From this moment Bartholomew swore to rid the world of inequality and to fight for what is right and true. He keeps the memory of his one true love alive through his botany.
