The Orcish Struggle

When the orcs came to the world, they found it hostile and unforgiving. They suffered the brutality of this world, and sought guidance from the gods. The Earthmother showed them how to survive the elements and make shelter with what they find. She told them when to make children so they could weather the world's hardships and live to see a brighter world.   They learned from the struggle.   The Huntress taught the orcs to hunt. She showed them how to embrace the callouses left on their hands by the bow. She showed them how to bind their wounds from their prey.   They learned from the struggle.   The Binder taught them to act as one. They fought bitterly, and orcs hurt eachother with words and fists. But together they were protected from the danger of those outside their community.   They learned from the struggle.   The Smith gave them his fire, burning their fingers. He showed them the forge, and they hurt their eyes. But from the pain the wroght weapons and armour to protect themselves.   They learned from the struggle.   The Singer told them tales of the orcs before. How they persevered, how they survived, and how they thrived.   They learned from the struggle.   They are made by the struggle, and they will thrive through it. And they will always be one with eachother. And they will learn from the struggle.
