The Linhau Expanse

Known to drive people to desperation, and to swallow ships that have embarked to explore or trade. The vast ocean of Linhau is unforgiving to those who would travel its waters lightly. Sailors return from journeys speaking of vast storms that break with little warning, or great movements of water driving them from their plotted course, leaving them fighting to find their way or to simply reach land while their supplies last. Some ships simply never return at all.
But where there is challenge, there is also great opportunity. The far-flung continents of Unai and Acrend both trade in what the other desires and needs. Intermediate islands provide rest-stops along the long trade routes. The Guild of Navigators aims to map the vast waters to make for safer passage.
With a good crew and fair sailing, many a fortune has been made upon these waters.
