Lexius (lex-ee-uhs)

Lexius spent most of his late teens to early adulthood searching for a Guild that would accept him. His skills were underdeveloped, and each Guild Master turned him away. No one believed he could be an adventurer; he had no natural talents, and any aptitude test he underwent resulted in failure. Those of a kinder disposition urged him to seek out another job, but his determination remained in becoming an adventurer who slayed monsters and explored dungeons.
Accepting that no guild would accept him was hard. It took a hidden toll to do so, but Lexius needed to stop searching for someone else to accept him. He used his knowledge of Itermande's geography and spent time observing other adventurers fight. He honed his own lackluster skills into a means for survival against weaker creatures, gradually pushing himself to higher difficulty. Among the artisans, Lexius developed a reputation for bringing necessary supplies for cheaper prices than what the guilds charged. Those who took the gamble on quality were pleasantly surprised with the products, and Lexius found himself a modest sense of security. He would still have to endure harassment and judgement from other adventurers that had the protections of their guilds.
Meeting Remiria put him on a course to fight stronger monsters, collect more valuable materials, and regain the ability to trust another adventurer.
