The villages and cities of Itermande function around the Three Guilds, all located in the capital city, Capitville.   Members of a guild are expected to utilize their skills to conquer creatures, traverse the land, and seek out high-valued rewards for their efforts. Although there are more than three in total, the Three Guilds of Capitville hold the most influence in Itermande's society.   Rules and regulations get drafted in Lepidant Cadeaunum. The documents are passed through the other two major guilds for unanimous approval before being announced to all of Itermande as law.   Individuals in leadership positions (political and otherwise) often come from Corporis Viribante. They tend to be headstrong and courageous in nature, not holding back at the first sign of trouble.   Despite being the least influential of the three, Intouter Ominase hosts only the most talented artisans and laborers. Be it ornate furniture or opulent buildings, the fruits of its members can be seen in any prestigious setting.   Members of any registered Itermande guild receive benefits, but those part of any one of the Three have the greatest interpersonal connections, access to the highest tier of specialized training, and far more opportunities to acquire wealth. Recruitment is typically based on a series of strengths, aptitude testing, and existing talent and training.   Those who find themselves outside of the Three Guilds' scope lead normal lives. Well, as normal as they can lead given the huge disparity of class. Some folks who aren't affiliated with the guilds tend to take up the usual jobs that anyone might have around the city—merchants, artists, apothecaries, chefs—and even perform these jobs within the guilds themselves. They are higher paid, but they do not receive the same benefits as a guild member.   Not everyone who applies is given entry to a guild's ranks, even if they pass all of the tests. In rare situations, an adventurer may be kicked out of a guild. It is unadvised to continue being an adventurer without being a guild member. Guilds create a network of contacts, inherently creating a safety net for anyone looking to go out into the world and do something slightly dangerous or worse. Failed adventurers eventually find other jobs to support their new direction in life.   The main story of Itermande follows Lexius and Remiria. Lexius was rejected by every guild, yet he goes out and adventures for the sake of answering the requests of the common people. Remiria had her membership from Lepidant Cadeaunum revoked after an ancient curse sealed her connection to the ley lines.   In the beginning of their time together, things are rocky with distrust. The two outcasts eventually work together to overcome shared hardship and challenging obstacles to lead a life that brings them fulfillment.   [This was inspired by a number of works in the fantasy/adventure genre. There may be many "unoriginal" concepts or tropes, but I hope to give them an original twist.]
