Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Kassra stands at 7ft tall, but is very thin - dexterity, rather than strength, is what he is built for.
He and his family are Bearded Vulture Aarakocra, and all have a similar build and appearance.
Body Features
Kassra has a magnificent plumage of white, black and red - however, the red is not natural colouration, instead having been stained over his naturally white feathers. This is a common phenomenon among the Peacebringer Aarakocra, and denotes their role as worshippers of Taros: the divine casters of Taros tend to favour keeping their natural white plumage, while those who practice arcane magic or use their talents for non-magical services to her tend to favour varying shades of red. Kassra, had Taros not become his patron, would probably have leaned more into wizardry - hence his red colouration.
His wings are large, spanning 14ft at full spread, and fully black and white. Kassra is very proud of them and keeps them as pristine as possible.
Facial Features
Kassra's narrow face is mostly white, framed by his stained red neck plumage. Two black stripes run from his forehead, over his eyes and down his face, ending in two dark tufts at his hooked beak.
Kassra's eyes are particularly striking, with a bright red sclera and a pale blue, near-white iris.
Identifying Characteristics
Aside from the everything about him, Kassra is rarely seen without Ruhig, his Sentinel Raven - a fragment of Taros herself. Ruhig is a pure white, spectral raven with bright blue eyes, and usually appears as semi-corporeal.
Apparel & Accessories
Kassra isn't particularly one for flashy attire. He usually wears simple, dark robes to allow particularly for ease of movement for his wings.
His main 'accessory' is a large black staff, the head of which is shaped into a raven's skull, and from which hangs a lantern with an ever burning green flame. The flame does not appear to have any source, but grows brighter and fiercer when Kassra is casting his spells.
At his waist, Kassra also carries a Tome of Shadows. Despite its name, it is quite a small and light book, bound in simple black leather; however the pages have a beautiful metallic golden edging, and a golden clasp keeps it closed.
Smallest of all is a long, iridescent black feather that Kassra keeps tied to his lantern which, when activated, becomes the Raven's Reckoning: a gift from Taros, his patron, and his favoured weapon, a beautiful black scythe.

Personal history
Kassra was born in the Peacebringer's Temple in the mountains of the Lesser Dioceses of Marmarya, to a family of devout followers of Taros, The Raven Queen. The Peacebringers specialised in caring for the dying, and the treating and burial of the dead - they were not healers; their task was simply to make the transition between life and death a smooth one.

Sexuality
Kassra hasn't really given much thought to his sexuality. All he knows is that he loves his wife Mischa to pieces, and that's all that matters.

Family Ties
Kassra has two siblings, a brother and a sister.
His father still resides in the temple where he grew up. His mother, he hasn't seen since he was young. He has no idea where she might be now, but he dearly hopes she's safe.
Religious Views
Kassra is a devout follower of Taros: besides his family, his faith comes above all else. He does the work she sets out for him dutifully and with great pride.
