Balaeron Marcovici

Baeleron Marcovici is known by some as a scholar, and by others as a scoundrel. Hailing from the lands of the Principality of Remaria, Baeleron was born to a Bravani clan deep in the forest. His people traveled the lands of Remaria, Brisland, and beyond. By the time he was a young man, he had seen most of the Western Realms. As an adult, he has journeyed to every corner of the world. Baeleron devoted his life to chronicling his travels. Some say he's seen the entire world in just forty years, other's say he's four hundred years old.

Balaeron was born to a minor noble house in Borvalam, nestled on the edge of the deep forests of the Principality. His family is said to consist of mostly Bravani blood, descending from those few of the travelling folk who settled down in the city long ago. His long, raven black hair and hawkish features attest to this heritage, and his mysterious ways do little to cast shadows of doubt on it.

He is an enigma among even the most accomplished of scholars, though while he has devoted his life to shedding light upon the mysteries of the world and documenting even the smallest details of every corner of it, he reveals little about his private life. He lives mostly upon the road, traveling along with trade caravans when he can or setting out on his own when he must. He keeps a manor in Borvalam, although he is rarely to be found there. Few have entered its walls, and those who have tell stories of amazing collections of books and artifacts lining every inch of the three-story home.
