Dragon Sweeper

The most unglorifed job in the empire are called Dragon Sweepers or Dragon Tails and these are the men and women who take care of the dragons. 
They clean up all the excrement from them, groom them, and feed them and is a back-breaking and demeaning job that most in the military do not wish to have. The dragons are often ill-tempered and enjoy the pampered life and as such often treat those who take them little better than slaves to their wills. 
Without these individuals, though the dragons would be consumed by their own filth and the cities that the dragons are often in would be consumed by an odor that can only be described as rotten eggs, and vomits mixed together. 
A Dragon Sweeper is often despised and treated little better than a slave because most are slaves that took on the job with a promise of citizenship at the end of their 10 year service. Most do not live to be that long as accidents in the job are common, and there has been more than one occasion where a dragon became fed up for waiting to be fed it ate its own caretaker. 
The few that do make it to the end of their service often suffer grievous injuries, missing limbs, and broken body parts that makes their life difficult aftwards when they go out into the world. Many end up as regulars at Dragon Wings and sometimes enter into full-time care from their line of work. 
A few stay on, knowing no other life than the one they have, and often become overseers for other Dragon Sweepers. They become despised by both their underlings and those they work with but they do recieve pay and many can be seen in the various taverns in the cities.
