There was a time where there were no islands in the sky, and the lands were known as Valir. The first King's name is unknown due to a curse that has erased it from time, but his reign and title of tyrant remain. He was filled with such thirst of power, that he killed any who stood or even stumbled in his way. Even his own family, friends, allies of nations nearby. The sky seemed to be black wherever he went, matching his dark coat with massive black wings.   Some mistook him as a large vulture, hinting death upon the horizon. It was a time of poverty, fear, and terror. One had to walk on eggshells else they would be killed if they ever voiced or hinted rebellion.   With his last battle against a large serpent that seemed to shake the Earth as fire rain down on him and his army, his rule was finally over.
