Everything sucks
This day

-Welcome to the Ancient Seas. No gods, no masters!! Just big ol' monsters. -Been at sea for a few months. Fought monsters and stuff -Ezre has been exploring the sea and sky -Circe has been reading up on necromancy -Sieg has been training and creating water -Del has been dealing drugs to the islands we shop at -Cuculus has been confused. Following us around.....weird -Liam has been navigating. And fucking with people playing cards. -Ezre has been losing at cards and making friends with whales (or trying to....)     -We encounter a metal ship that's all cracked and gnarly and leaking red -We decide to approach with the main boat invisible and -Liam teleports aboard and checks the red fluid. It's blood, but earthy. Liam says it's dwarf blood -Everyone else boards normally. -There are a bunch of really big broken swords on the deck and broken other objects -Weapons also near the spikes often -Circe recognizes the inscriptions on the sword as being written in Primordial (Aquan) and Giatn -Also find parts of the ship disintegrated by acid -Ezre goes below deck. It's dark. Sees light shining off something   -Liam teleports aboard and checks the red fluid. It's blood, but earthy. Liam says it's dwarf blood

  • Ezre goes below deck. It's dark. Sees light shining off something
  • -Circe goes down and Ezre casts darkvision. They see a giant clock stopped at 3:27 -Boat obviously made for big things -Down below, Circe finds shattered cannonballs -Ezre finds puddles of red liquid. No bodies tho -Spikes made of iron. Same as boat, as if material of boat -Other spikes not part of boat -Circe finds fragments of purple crystal around spikes: enchantment magic Del discovers that the red liquid isn't blood. Cuckulus figures out that it's clay. Deduces that these are the remains of golems and starts mumbling that to herself -Liam finds a human-sized room with spoiled room -Below deck one floor of mostly quarters but below that there's a big iron vault. Thing in the middle and a bunch of rooms around it and stairs to one more floor -In the rooms are ginormous cylindrical tanks that are attached to shattered green crystals. More spike come through these tanks -Downstairs is a big iron door with a barrier behind it -No one knows dispel magic...only Ezre does it and it doesn't work -Light coming from inside small room where the spikes are coming from -Del, Ezre, Liam, and Circe go inside and find a weird disco ball. Seems to be the source of the spike -Ezre picks it up (what a dummy) and it starts floating and the spikes retract in to the ship; the ship seems to be repairing itself -Spectral hands come out of nowhere, grab the orb, and vanish -Outside of the room, an iron golem comes downstairs. She opens the room and threatens us with an arm cannon -We say we are investigating because the ship was attacked but she's like, "wtf". She is confused that we don't know who/what she is. We tell her we are from a different continent -She shoots at Ezre, or behind Ezre: at the desk behind her, which dodges. It's a mimic!!! -Circe shoots fire at it. Ezre shoots acid at it. It attacks the golem lady and seems to be slashing at it with acidic tendrils -Sieg crits it -Another drops on Ezre. Liam stabs it but it leask acid on Liam and Ezre. -Del shoots some light arrows. -We dispatch the mimics -The golem takes us to the captain. On the way, she asks us about what we were looking for. She calls it a "core" and says that every golem has one. She shows us hers...it's not there, but she is convinced it is -Circe asks. "who made you". She replies, "The Maker". -The Maker makes golems to fight Sea Monsters and protect civilization. These ones are making a secret delivery -This Golem's name is Swetha -We pass by the fixed clock on the main deck. It's 2:58 and when we go above deck, it's the afternoon and our ship is gone. We deduce that we have traveled back in time. -We learn that Swetha is 8 months old, but created ~ 1900 years ago -We arrive at the captain's meeting room. 3 clay golems there. We learn that they were transporting weapons but given orders to anchor in place. Have been sitting for a month. Clay golems tried to revolt and pioneer the ship. -They think the ship is transporting something greater than just weapons -Mimics have been appearing for the past month; could they be spying for an ambush? -Learn that we should be able to see the core. We tell them about the core we found and the time travel. -We are about 10 days from "Vith", the island where The Maker is trying to create his civilization. Golem points on map to the archipelago we are going to. It is not fully formed yet. -We tell the golems that the ship will be destroyed soon. They're like, "wtf?" -Captain comes in. She is an iron golem bickering with the quartermaster, a clay golem. She introduces herself as Vineth. Says that we need to prove why we shouldn't be killed on the spot. We tell her our story. She seems panicked for a moment but then calls us nuts. Agrees to prepare for battle anyways -Swetha asks for our help to save the ship. She says that if her destiny is to be destroyed, she wants change that and get her freedom -Ezre flies with Circe on her back -Liam recognizes that the spectral hands that took the core vanished into the Ethereal Plane. He goes ethereal in Swetha's room, then sees her coming out of the vault. She basically tells them that if they can get the core off of the ship, that this will break the spell and they will win the game. -The core is in the vault. -The clock strikes 3:26. A dark triangular ship appears on the horizon. It is a giant mimic with a fleet of row boat mimics. -It teleports right next to us and fires cannonballs with acid and fire at us -Ezre Sieg and Circe fight the mimic fleet above deck -Liam dodges past the old lady and through the barrier -A cloaked witch-like figure, with white-gloved hands floats onto the ship from the mimic mothership and starts putting purple crystals in to the heads of golems, causing them to go 'berserk' -Cuckulus starts trying to intimidate the mimics -Another round of cannon fire nearly takes out Circe -The Captain starts moving Swetha downstairs -Circe confronts the captain. Learns that Swetha is some new technology that the mimics are after -In the Vault, Liam sees the core floating in an energy field in a lab. Tubes connect it to green crystals -The Captain promises to help if we can get the core to The Maker. We say we will. MISSION IVE: DELIVER SWETHA'S CORE TO THE MAKER -The Captain activates the core somehow and basically self destructs, turning into a giant iron spike -Liam takes the core and leads the crew off the ship -We all jump into a boat and Ezre uses water to take us out -Liam: "Ezre, do you know how to steer this thing?" -Ezre: "No!" -Del: "I DO!" -On the way, the witch tries to blow our hoods off to see who we are. She sees Ezre and Del's faces before retreating out of the barrier so she doesn't get brought back to our time when the spell ends -Del steers us into the barrier. Time starts unwinding and we see the events of the past 40 minutes from many different angles all at once. -Liam sees the spectral old woman. She refers to the witch and says, "She's not going to be happy about this." -We return to our time, greeted by Kleek -Liam takes a couple of the bullets they were transporting, which have the insignia of the eight fingered hands that the bullets Luvisa showed Liam have -Circe sinks the ship -5 of us have mint condition 1900 year old navy cloaks -We discuss what we are going to do with the orb and decide to hide it away for safekeeping -As Liam takes it to put away, he sees that the orb has the same 8-fingered hand on it -Liam hears Swetha's voice say a faint, "thank you." and he puts it in a lead box. -Liam wants to meet The Maker. No, he needs to.     -A few days later, we are approaching the archipelago -There is a pop, as if a barrier broke. A portal appears in front of Del. A woman who looks like her looks through it and is shocked and says, "Del". She then looks terrified as a young girl comes up to her and takes her hand. -The woman says, "Don't look for me."   -Liam gets inspiration
