Carainhithe

The Carainhithe are the followers of the Animal Spirits. They are called to jobs that involve animals in some way. They are generally tanned, weathered people with sensible attitudes and a good work ethic (there are always bad apples and lazy ones but this is in general). Other provinces view them as simple, almost stupid, and uncultured. The nobles are not so far removed from the commoners, remembering to say please and thank-you when addressing servants, and not being afraid to work hard or get dirty. They originate from the northwestern province but live anywhere a goat farmer, hunter, or stable hand is needed.

Related to animals, hunting, farming, etc. Nobles have two last names. Sun-Stag, Wise-Ranger, Hunter ...

Major language groups and dialects

They speak the common tongue but are the only province to have maintained any of their ancient language.

Life has value, all life, from birth to death, no matter the species, gender, or class.

Common Taboos

Obviously, no sexual relations with animals. Though other provinces accuse them of this to degrade them, it violates the trust and respect they grant to all living creatures.

Gender Ideals

Everyone works hard. Dresses are required for women when they are not doing a job where a skirt would be in the way. Skirts are required for women for all formal occasions.
