The Crooked Nail or "A night at the Theatre" Report

General Summary

The Party was invited to a nights entertainment by their associate Bingo, but what was advertised as a "night to remember" turned into a night that everyone wanted to forget. The spook show was wrecked by the advance group of ruffians; members of Hoods Rats and this left the party somewhat worse for wear.
They certainly didnt expect to be accused of theft when they emerged but the enraged proprietor, a Mr Chelman was frothing at the mouth. After a brief exchange an offer of 15gp each for the return of the "nail" was accepted by the party and they left to track down the ruffians who really stole it with strict instructions to return it within 24 hours.
After an extended stroll through Booktown they emerged on the edge of "The Stitchery" and there located the Rats who stole the nail. They were seated on the stoop of an Alchemy shop and thus the party used stealth to close the distance in the fog bound street. Lucretia boldly advanced and declared her offer for the return of the nail but found that the nail was inside the shop with their boss. She decided to increase her opening offer with 2 daggers and thus battle was joined.
In a brief skirmish the three rats were dead and the party were inside the shop only to be assailed by a homonculous raining thunderstones down upon them. After dispatching this pitiful foe they chased the proprietor, one "Crux" deeper into the shop and cornered him in his office but due to magical means he escaped and covered his exit with a fire, which was after some effort "doused with ice". It is here we left our heroes in the process of looting the shop.
