Icon effigies

A popular use for oldstone, Kanoia will sculpt pieces of this ancient material in a myriad of ways. Anything from a crude, berry sized statue to a Kabbe sized piece of art meant to be the center piece of an estate. These effigies are highly sought after and sometimes Kanoia will save for years before purchasing the right one, typically that being for an Icon that is more directly tied to their life, i.e. a fisherman getting an idol of fishing or of the river or sea where he fishes. Oldstone is the material of choice for these effigies because there is belief among people that oldstone contains the very Essence of the Qalani, combine that with the divine aspect of idols and how it's believed that their own Essence rivals the Qalani, so you see Kanoia combing two important pillars of faith and spirituality.
