His voice carries a soft air of command as he haggles with the traders, offering small bits of metal from his homeland for the rare veins that the merchants in these dark tunnels sell. He does not travel to Káto often, but when he does, he never returns empty-handed, using his stature, albeit short, and his perchance for haggling to acquire the metals that the clan needs to make their wares.
Thurgrim Bronzemantle is tall by Dwarf standards, standing at nearly five feet tall. While he is the youngest of the Bronzemantle brothers, he plays a very important role in the furthering of the clan. When new and rare metals are needed, Thurgrim travels from the village of Tholladur to gather them, whether it be deeper into the mountains or to the depths of Káto. His travel and diplomacy make him an irreplaceable asset to the clan and their smithing, but Thurgrim has far more talents than just those of diplomacy.
When he is not traveling, he serves as the master smith for the clan and for Tholladur. He creates intricate weapons and armor from the alloys that his brother, Gralmor, and his daughter, Myrthiel, create. Each of the Bronzemantle Clan plays their role in the creations that the clan and village are known for. It takes a village to make such beautiful and deadly weapons.
The greatest accomplishments of Thurgrim’s life are not the weapons he has forged, but his three daughters who have found their places in the world. Myrthiel has become a metalsmith, mixing alloys and folding metals to make the perfect materials for her father’s crafting. Kattyn has taken after their mother, Vastraela, becoming a cleric and serving those in need. The last daughter, Senku, is an oddity, being a human in the land of Dwarves, but her alchemical skills are far beyond her years.
