Beside her father she works, bent over an anvil, carefully folding and melding two metals to make the material of exceptional hardness that her father's weapons are known for. They work in near silence, except for the banging of hammers in the forge. Only rarely do they break, speaking in soft tones as they both focus on the metal slowly cooling in her hands. With a curt nod of his head, her work is finished, having made the material that her father will work with next.
Myrthiel Bronzemantle is the oldest child of Thurgrim and Vastraela Bronzemantle. Following closely in her father's footsteps, she found her second home in the forge, the anvil and hammer tools for her to create and inspire. In her few years, she has become a master metalsmith, the only female entrusted with the mixing of the special metals and materials that the Bronzemantle Clan is known for. At an anvil next to her father is her favorite place, practicing her craft amongst the sound of her father and uncles working.
Being the only female metalsmith in Tholladur is an honored achievement, a title that once was only bestowed upon the oldest men of the Bronzemantle Clan. Myrthiel's skill with mixing metals and knowing the correct portions needed to create intricately woven and powerful metals is beyond most, even her oldest uncles that had once claimed the name. Her expertise has allowed her family to expand their smithing, moving beyond the simple weapons that the clan had been known for in past generations.
