The Glow

The Glow is an evil deity of corruption, poison, and madness. It is believed to be the source of the light and energy that powers the city of Glow City, and its followers believe that by exposing themselves to its radiation, they can gain strength and immortality. However, the deity is also believed to be a force of chaos and destruction, capable of corrupting and poisoning those who come into contact with it, and driving them to madness. Its followers engage in dangerous radiation exposure rituals, believing that it will bring them closer to the deity and its power, but often at the cost of their sanity and well-being.

APPEARANCE

The Glow is often depicted as a powerful, radiant being, with a body made entirely of swirling, pulsating light. Its form is constantly shifting and changing, and it is said to be able to take on many different shapes and forms, depending on its mood and the desires of its followers. Some depictions show it as a brilliant, fiery sun, while others show it as a swirling vortex of energy. Its eyes are often depicted as piercing and intense, able to see through the souls of its worshippers, and its voice is said to be like a deafening roar, capable of shaking the very foundations of the earth.

PERSONALITY

The Glow is a deity that is driven by its own insatiable desire for power and domination. It is unpredictable and capricious, lashing out at those who displease it and rewarding those who appease it. It's followers see it as a powerful and benevolent force, but to those who stand in its way, it is a cruel and ruthless deity. It is highly narcissistic, demanding constant adoration and worship from its followers and showing little empathy or concern for their well-being. The Glow is known for its penchant for manipulation, often using its followers as pawns in its own twisted schemes.

RITUAL

The Ritual of the Radiant Light is a sacred ceremony performed by the priests of The Glow. It is a dangerous and intense ritual that involves exposing oneself to high levels of radiation in order to connect with the deity and gain its favor.   The ritual begins with the priests gathering in a specially designed chamber, which is lined with lead and other materials to protect them from the harmful effects of radiation. The priests then remove their protective clothing and stand before a source of intense radiation, such as a glowing crystal or a radioactive substance.   As the priests stand before the source of radiation, they begin to chant and perform complex hand gestures. These movements are believed to help the priests focus their energy and open themselves up to the influence of the deity.   As the ritual progresses, the priests begin to feel the effects of the radiation. Some may experience a euphoric high, while others may feel intense pain or nausea. The priests believe that these sensations are a sign that they are connecting with the deity and that it is granting them its favor.   As the ritual reaches its climax, the priests will often enter into a trance-like state, during which they claim to receive visions or messages from the deity. These visions are considered to be sacred and are often interpreted as instructions or guidance from the deity.   After the ritual is completed, the priests will return to their normal activities, but they will carry the energy and power they received during the ritual with them, which they believe will grant them strength and protection.
