The current dominant species across the Phena, Teilra, and Eroiliek Quadrants, and primary host of the Viniktarian Empire.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Human's would describe Viniktarians as humanoid and bipedal, as well as possessing a similar muscle/skeletal-structure to the human race. However, internally Viniktarians and humans are not similar in the slightest, as Viniktarians have no bones, nor are their "muscles" similar in any fashion. Instead, it is estimated that anywhere from 60-80% of a Viniktarian is made up of a single substance known as Velk Intablea, which roughly translates to "Black Magma" or "Midnight Sludge". This mysterious substance allows a Viniktarian to function, and acts as a circulatory, digestive, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine system, to name a few. As of April 2029, scientists on Earth have been unable to decode what makes a Viniktarian tick besides knowing of this necessary building block; while Viniktarians are well aware, for reasons unknown they refuse to allow access of this knowledge to humans.
Viniktarians also possess multiple black "spikes" across their shoulders, forearms, knees, back, ankles, and on the tops of the hands and feet. These are known as Oean, and act as a physical defensive mechanism from external conflict. Analysis has shown that they closely resemble the volcanic glass known as Obsidian, and many suspect that they are some sort of "organic cousin". While they are hard and sharp to the touch, a large amount of force can easily break an Oean in two (or a particularly violent maneuver can rip them clean off of the victim, tearing into their skin). An injured Oean is known to be incredibly painful, most likely due to some sort of internal sensory network they possess; most Viniktarians compare a broken Oean being like a Human's broken bone. In females, Oean are perfectly symmetrical, while the placement of Oean on males are rather erratic and random. Thus, it is very common for male Viniktarians to purposefully sharpen, dull down, or break their Oean in order to make them symmetrical, despite the pain.
While they are similar to humans in structure, there are still some obvious external differences other than skin tone, height, and weight. Besides having the sharp Oean, all Viniktarians elbows extend outward and curve to a point; this "excess" is as hard to the touch as their Oean after a certain point, and is considered to be an underdeveloped Oean that was somehow passed through the genetic line to the present generations. Viniktarians also have three toes instead of five like Humans, although they are significantly larger and longer, and curl downwards to a point like claws. Speaking of which, their hands are often considered to be more claw-like because of their sharp texture and the long nature of their nails. On average, a Viniktarian's hand is usually 2-3x the size of a Human's hand, although the male's hands are wider, and the female's are longer when compared with one another.

Genetics and Reproduction

While the process is complex, in simple terms it has been determined that some traits from parents to offspring are a combination of both parents, or singularly selective. For example, the hair color of a Viniktarian child, or Puppling, is directly taken from one of its two genetic parents. Therefore, if the mother's hair is light pink and the father's is jet black, the child's natural hair color can only be said light pink or black. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if a mother has six eyes, and the only father one, the Puppling is exposed to a "genetic range". This means that the Puppling can have anywhere from 1-6 eyes, as the genetic blueprints for any of those outcomes is represented by an "upper limit" and a "lower limit". Using the previous example, the genetics found in the father provide the "lower limit" of the child having one eye, while the traits of the mother provide the "upper limit", as she contains the blueprints for all other variations up to six eyes. Besides eye count, aspects such as the average height and weight, oean length, and physical build rely on this "range" genetic. However, traits such as hair color, skin tone, and hair line follow the former "one or the other" formula.¹

Ecology and Habitats

Because Viniktarians are the offspring of two highly advanced races, the Vaerian and the Vinuktian, the type of "natural" habitat they would exist within is unknown (both because they are a hybrid of two different species, and due to the fact that Vaerians and Vinuktians had conquered and manipulated their original environments long before the first Viniktarians were born). However, it is hypothesized that Viniktarians would naturally dwell in tropical climates, or habitats containing access to large bodies of water such as great lakes or oceans.²
Currently, Viniktarians exist in large populations across the Phena, Teilra, and Eroiliek Quadrants, but are most prominent on the planet Viniktaria, located in the Phena Quadrant. Not only is this due to this being their home planet and base of operations for the Viniktarian Empire, but the environment on Viniktaria is full of vast oceans and a multitude of islands, which supports the previously mentioned hypothesis. Nevertheless, Viniktarians are able to live comfortably in almost any environment, thanks to their nearly indestructible makeup and tolerance for extreme temperatures.

Dietary Needs and Habits

While considered to be Omnivores, Viniktarians primarily consume a diet rich in meat and protein from a variety of different sources, alien and non (as in, they'll gladly consume Earthen meat). Their cuisine overall is based on strong, savory and spicy flavors. While they can understand the concept of sweetness, Viniktarians do not have any sort of Earthen dessert-equivalent (though it should be noted that once exposed to sweets like cake and chocolate, many were shocked and overjoyed at the new flavors). The one taste that Viniktarians cannot stand is the sense of sour flavors; if exposed to any sense of sour food, a Viniktarian may experience dizziness, vomiting, or fainting spells.
One of the rather macabre facts surrounding Viniktarian dieting habits concerns that they find the taste of Human rather appealing. While it is illegal under Viniktarian Law to consume any race deemed intelligent, this doesn't prevent Viniktarians from actively seeking out human meat on black markets, or doing the unthinkable and succumbing to carnal desires by murdering a human for consumption. Within the last year, doctors under the Viniktarian Empire have reported up to 100 cases of addiction to Human meat in the colonial population.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Viniktarians are known to have up to 8 eyes, along with a minimum of 1 eye. While always symmetrical along the face, a genetic disorder known as Eivele can distort the placement, number, and size of eyes and mouths while a Puppling is being formed in the womb.
Compared to Humans, the mouths of Viniktarians are ~10-20% larger, although their lips are usually always thinner. Their teeth resemble that of shark teeth, although they only contain one row of permanent teeth. Viniktarians go through three separate cycles of tooth growth and regeneration; when a Puppling (approximately up tp ~1,500 years of age) their teeth are softer and dull, as not to rip their sensitive gums. Once a Viniktarian child grows out of this defenseless stage, from the ages of ~1,500 to 6,000 their first set of teeth will fall out, only to be replaced by a new set that is more durable, yet still dull. Once they reach adolescence, their second set of teeth will fall out, then replaced by the final permanent set which is sharp, tough, and most importantly—dangerous.
The most notable facial feature that differs from the Human Race concerns the fact that Viniktarians have no nose, nor anything similar of the sort. In order to interpret the sense of smell, Viniktarians use their tongues as a dual sensor between smell and taste. This will leave to Viniktarians often absentmindedly leaving their mouths slightly pursed open, as to clearly smell their surroundings.

Average Intelligence

While similar to that of the Human race, Viniktarians are infamous for their ability to calculate complex equations and problem solve on the fly at an alarming rate. However, compared to Humans, it takes Viniktarians a much more considerable amount of time to obtain this intelligence, being that it takes longer for a Viniktarian to mature.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Viniktarians are immediately in tune with their Inner Core from birth. In fact, unlike many other species who must learn what their Inner Core Tone is over time, Viniktarians know immediately upon birth as the offspring's Tone will be displayed in the iris. Because they are able to create such a strong bond with their Inner Core over an elongated period of time, all Viniktarians are considered to be masters of telekinesis and simple mind-reading.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms

Beauty Ideals

The concept of beauty differs from Viniktarian to Viniktarian, but the most common themes revolve around strong forms or thin bodies, tall stature, large hands and feet, large oean, and long hair.
Regarding hair, it is Viniktarian tradition to keep one's hair long, as it represents a Viniktarians life and struggles as they have lived. Since visiting Earth, the practice of cutting one's hair has become slowly popular among young Viniktarians, though most still see this as foreign and disrespectful to oneself.
Oean, like hair length, also represent a Viniktarians strength, regardless of what the rest of them looks like. It is not uncommon for Viniktarians to wear faux prosthetic oean over their actual oean in order to dramatically increase their length and size. This is commonly done during social events, or in the presence of a potential mate.

Gender Ideals

While male and female Viniktarians are seen as equals, often times females have the upper hand thanks to their taller stature and stronger appearance.³ Because Viniktarians are often attempting to manipulate their strengths and weaknesses in order to be perceived as a potential mate or leader, females are often looked upon as the "dominant" half to the species, being that they are almost always taller, faster, and stronger. As a result, conservative members of the species will berate males who derail themselves from this standard, often labeling them as a Duilyei; this roughly translates to "lesser than life". However, because of their emotional enlightenment and eons of experience as a species, these sorts of insults are uncommon.
When it comes to positions in society, females and males are no different. There is no class or job title that contains a significant difference between amounts of one or the other, with an exception of the Monarchy; due to the higher birthrate of males, by 2029 there will have been 12 original Quailarians and only 2 original Quailarias.⁴

Average Technological Level

Viniktarians are considered to be one of the most technologically advanced species of the modern era, second onto to the Elmans. While their achievements in technology are countless, here are some notable achievements they have made:

• The invention of Translocaters, personal teleportation devices used by most Viniktarians (and generally popular in the galaxy).

• Genetic Alteration: While specific and astounding amounts of research is needed when a knew species is presented, Viniktarians have more or less perfected the art of transforming one species into another, while leaving the individuals memories and personality intact.

• Viniktarian air and spacecraft is considered a luxury throughout the galaxy, due to its faster than light speeds, unique aesthetic, and intuitive features in passenger care.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Viniktarians hold complicated relationships with many intelligent species across the galaxy, many of whom they rule over. The following is the current climate Viniktarians hold towards the listed species.

Borkens

Because they are considerably violent, Viniktarians often have a hard time working with Borkens in general, seeing as Viniktarians have a flair for the intellectual. In recent times, the Borken race as a whole has fallen under the Viniktarian Empire's control, but many independent War-Lords of Borken origin have started conflicts with the Viniktarian Empire out of spite. The current Leader of the Borken people, Ka-Kavnda Ilsookei, is on pleasant terms with the Viniktarian Emperor, Quailarian Dielkaire. While this has made the shift from Borken to Viniktarian control much more easier, their conflicting ideals in politics and standards of living often put Viniktarians on edge around Borkens, and vice versa.

Terrarrorians

These peaceful, water-born mermaid-like lifeforms have a very loving and supportive relationship with their Viniktarian rulers. Their calm attitudes and curious nature assisted in bringing the two peoples together, when the Viniktarian Empire decided to add the planet Terrarroria to their domain. Unlike others who have fought wars to prevent Viniktarian control, Terrarrorians immediately initiated a peace agreement with the Viniktarians, seeing as from their point of view, Viniktarian technology would provide for them a better way of life, compared to the un-tamable waters of Terrarroria. Considering that the then-Quailarian at the time, Ankorra, ended up marrying a Terrarrorian Countess, Shei Mei, it can be said that the two species have since always admired one another.

Humans

While few Humans actually know of the existence of Viniktarians, much can be said about the Viniktarian obsession with Humans. Many regard Humans as weak, puny, and harmless, but the majority of Viniktarians find them cute and adorable (most likely due to the dramatic size difference). Some Viniktarians scholars and politicians have commented on the fact that Humans seem to be one of the few races that can't completely work together, given the fact that Earth is so harshly divided into hundreds of nations. However, Viniktarians insist that once the Viniktarian Empire rules over them, that they will squash out this toxic attitude from the Humans altogether, in exchange for a peaceful new beginning.
Some Viniktarians think that enslaving the Human race would be a good alternative to implementing them into Viniktarian society, seeing as they are rather fragile and stubborn. However, this decision ultimately falls to the Xiev Xousen and Quailarian Dielkaire. While Dielkaire's position is unknown, the Xiev Xousen are vehemently disgusted with any idea surrounding the slavery of the Human race.

¹One exception to falling into one of the two of these "genetic formulas" include Viniktarian eye color. Because Viniktarians are immediately bonded to their Inner Core from birth, their eye color has nothing to do with the genetics of their parents, but is based on their Core Element.
²While the theory is loose, the main piece of evidence backing it revolves around Viniktarians thriving when surrounded by large bodies of water. While they themselves are hesitant to call it an instinct, it is obvious that Viniktarians subconsciously desire to be surrounded by wet climates, and almost every tourist destination on Viniktaria is closely related to or completely intertwined with Viniktaria's bodies of water. Speaking of which, Viniktaria's surface is only 20% land, and 80% water, which further points to Viniktarians naturally thriving in these sorts of habitats. Unfortunately for science, Vaerians and Vinuktians (the only species who would know of their roots) are extinct.

Rather unlike Humans, Viniktarians without any formal military training are known to be particularly muscular, and this is regardless of gender. Just about every full-grown Viniktarian (with the exception of the disabled), even those well into their elderly years, can flip a large car into the air with a moderate amount of effort. If a Viniktarian is not muscular and rather fit looking, chances are they are extremely thin, to a point where Humans may regard them as appearing malnourished. However, this is simply the appearance of a weaker, albeit still healthy, Viniktarian. All in all, Viniktarians overall have small waists, long legs and arms, and tall heights.
