Thair, Viniktaria
Capitol of Viniktaria, and main base of operations for The Viniktarian Empire.
One of the many flourishing technological regions on Viniktaria, the capitol—Thair—is the center of all government and military affairs, and is a hot-spot for specialized education and scientific research.
Population
The current population of Thair is approximately 5 million, although before the Erok declared war on the Viniktarian species as a whole, the population had skyrocketed to approximately 200 million residents. For a Viniktarian-based settlement, this is seen as a very diverse ratio, as most major/minor cities on Viniktaria have 98% of the population being Viniktarian. For Thair in particular, the strong population of Borken is influenced by the two species being the strongest of allies. On the Borken home-planet, it is common to see a large population of Viniktarians seeping into their major cities.Economy and Employment
Being the largest city on Viniktaria, it doesn't come as a surprise that the economy thrives. The major exports of Thair include industrial materials, technology, and food/water distributions. Speaking of food, due to their diverse environment, Thair is considered by many to be not just a food capitol of Viniktaria, but of the entire Phena Quadrant. Currently, the unemployment rate is at an all time low, at 0.2%. In fact, due to the population shortage, there are more jobs than residents of Thair. Thus, many neighboring cities and villages have supplied workers who commute, work at home, or live in Thair part-time. Thair is also a hot-spot for new businesses, as many have sprouted within the capitol within the last thousands of years. Overall, the amount of citizens employed in a certain approximately field follows this order: 15% Corporate Business, 10% Industrial Work (ranging from designers, carpenters, plumbing, etc.), 10% Scientific Study, 5% Food Industry, 5% General Public Services (Library, Museum, Parks & Rec., etc.), 2% Vacation& Touring, 2% Health & Hospital, 2% Education, <1% Law & Civil Dispute, <5% Government/Politics & Military (the Military includes the Royal sector, and covers >4% of this total), <1% Transportation, with <40% ranging across mixed job fields not already mentioned which are divided into minuscule subsections (the arts, private businesses, etc.). The average Viniktarian makes ~200k Magne a year, which is equivalent to ~$155,000 USD or ~£116,764. The poverty line in Thair is ~50k Magne, and approximately 5% of the population lives at or below the poverty line, which is currently at an all time low.Brief History
When The Viniktarian Empire was officially formed, the original capitol was established as Ilineus, but it was found that this city was easily conquerable due to it being a coastal region surrounded by ocean, with any escape routes on land having already been occupied by Vaerian forces (see The Vinuktian-Viniktarian War). Mid-way through the war, Sylvani Eyouma Milano xi Eveiliria—the leader of the revolution—established a new base at present-day's Thair, being that it was surrounded by a mountainous region and easily hidden by the expanse of forest. Once the war had ended in the Viniktarian's favor, Thair was established as the permanent capitol of The Viniktarian Empire.Geography
While the majority of the capitol is overwhelmed with technological structures—including walkways, thousands of skyscrapers, bridges, and the like—the surrounding area is a mountain range, littered with thick forestry. The specific mountain range, known as Teokatily, is religiously significant to those who practice Vaunu.
Fauna & Flora
Because the capitol has been overtaken by the expanse of technology, there is no room for much of an inner ecosystem of animals. The only type of fauna that typically roam the capitol naturally are Sweii, a scavenger bird-like creature (similar to vultures) that varies in size—they can be as small as a fly, or as giant as an ox. To Thair natives, Sweii are typically treated as pests who use the capitol as a source of food as opposed to their natural-born environment within the Teokatily.
The flora within the capitol varies from a mixture of imported species from different regions of Viniktaria, as well as from other plants or galaxies. In some instances, plants from Viniktaria and other alien worlds have been bred to produce a variety of different flora. This practice is known as Eumeni xi Orvukakum, which translates to "Breeder/Breeding of Plantlife", and is a competitive hobby that revolves around participants gathering plants from galaxies far and wide, and attempting to breed them with others from Viniktaria to create new species. Once every sun cycle, participants will bring their creations to the competition known as Orvukakum held in Thair. Winners are often catipulted in to fame across the scientific spectrum for their discoveries and additions to the study. This competition is so vital to Thair, due to the lack of native flora thanks to the technological expansion. It helps keep the balance between the artificial and natural, which is all important in the Viniktarian way of life.
Natural Resources
Due to the capitol being overrun by technology, to the point where nature is almost nonexistent, there are little natural resources.
