Ecudaroi

The only city-state in the sunset alliance that has a significant population of humans Ecudaroi was once the crown jewel of the Arlendian trading ports on the endless sea. The city was founded in 10 A.C after the marriage of Rauva' the true night' to Dolf the magnificent secured the acquiescence of the local drow to Arlendian rule. Dolf chose as the new head of the city Karl Ferdinand who served as the commander of the conquest in the south. Karl Ferdinand ruled as colonial regent for the the new city and its surrounding lands and waters for 15 years. Upon the death of Dolf the magnificient Karl Ferdinand took Iarzana of Silverwood to bride and declared himself King Charres I of Ecudaroi declaring on the side of the newly formed sunset alliance in the second War of the Winds where along side the rest of the alliance Ecudaroi succeeded in resting control of the eastern shore of Interravel from Arlend forcing humans off the eastern shore save for the cities of Ecudaroi and Last Dream.
The current king of Ecudaroi Darwin I is descended directly from Charres I through his father Marius I. However, he is a young ruler put in power by the untimely death of his father to the salt flu. Many leaders in the Freehold and Arlend see the young ruler as brash having been only a young boy when his father fought off the attempted coup of his second cousin Gautier ' the betrayer king' ending the title dispute that had lasted three generations. This has left Ecudaroi in a state of unprecedented stability and allowed the young Darwin to grow up having never been required to prove him self on the fields of battle or at the peace table. Many fear that his fascination with Silverwood and the history of the elven civilizations of old have made him numb to the traditions and values of his own people.

Baron / Baroness , a ruler over a small town typically under the protection of a count.
Knight, a high ranking military member given a small plot of land.
Edler /Edle , the ruler of a large city.
Erbsalzar / Erbsalza , the ruler of a small city or large hamlet.
