Interravel

Interravel is world shaped by war, it politics pulse with the rhythmic beats of conflict and peace, expansion and fall, expulsion and reconciliation. The last forty years have enjoyed the sweet melody of peace under the rule of Johannes the Open-handed of Arlend and Syrtym the Kiln of High-Hrothgan. It was only with the arrival of the Drow of the Shadow-Isle that the continent once again knew war. There conquests drew out the short buried sentiments that laid in the hearts of many in both Arlend and High-Hrothgan. With the passing of Johannes II “the Open-Handed” and the ascension of his son Johannes III “The Crimson Son” Arlend has taken back up its arms and moves for war. At the same time with the breaking of Syrtym the Kiln and the rise of Aesir “Horn-blower” High-Hrothgan moves back into old ways at the cost of many a giants blood.   The freehold stands ready to defend itself from its oppressors of old, however the prospect of a war on three fronts leaves few in the loose alliance with much certainty in their future. Especially with the quite that has come from the Sunset Alliance. For the common man and woman however, life in the freehold has seemed to keep it normal tones with only the occasional recruiter or traveling soldier moving through to remind them that all is not the same.
