In order to strengthen your own spirit, you can challenge a spiritbeing in some way. Or you seek it up, ask to serve it and it will present you with a challenge. Maybe it asks you to make it laugh, to play music that impresses it or to grow a certain flower. Complete it and you will be granted the power of that spirit, fail and you might get cursed.
