Matilda Fogsbear

Matilda grew up on a normal farm, in a normal family - something which in her opinion, was horrible. As a child, she was adventurous and feisty, and would often run off in hopes of finding a monster, or rally the local kids to some dangerous game. One day, when a battle between the local guards and a big group of bandits took place not far from her village, she got to witness magic for the first time, and she fell in love with it. From that day on, she did everything in her power to find out more about magic, in hopes of one day wielding it herself. She spent much of her adult life adventuring, and was the first person to catch lighting in a bottle. She has since then acquired magical objects and medals, and tried to make deals with spirits. Matilda is the only person to have lost a spirtchallenge and escaped punishment. Today she runs a shop in Stormhill where she sells all kinds of magic items. Not all of them are legal, and not all of them work. But the majority of them do. Most of her time today is spent tending to her store, The Forbidden Bounty, but she still goes out on adventures every now and then, in hopes of finding a way to use magic.

Personality

She is known to be both heated and loud, but usually in a caring, back-slapping way. Although she is known to threaten customers who dally too much, and the store has only been robbed once, but that ended with two young thieves faces bashed in. Despite the fact she's been fuelled by passion and curiosity most of her life, today she's starting to doubt if she'll ever be able to wield magic for real.

Appearance

Matilda's nickname: The Lion Lady serves her well. She has thick, rough red hair which drapes over her shoulders like a mane and she's of a broad stature. Matilda has muscular arms and wide shoulders. She usually dresses in simple clothes, but always keeps magic objects on her.
