The Fire-worshippers/Children of the sun

The fire worshippers are a religious group that has based their society on their religion, The worship of the Sunmother. Their homeland, known Cinurbs or Ashhome, is said to be the birthplace of life. In their religion, the fire worshippers believe that fire is the source, giver and taker of life.   "Fire will give you warmth and prepare your food, but it will also burn you and eat your village if given the option."   These are the words that the worshippers live by and they spend their lives carrying the Legacy of fire to their next generation.   Magic is something that is part of the every day-to-day life in Cinurbs, as there are many jobs that require it, even if only some classes practice advanced magic. Even though Cinurbs is a scorched and dry land, the Worshippers have managed to survive. They grow corn, cactus fruits and a special fruit called Glowfruit. They keep Toasthens from which they get meat and eggs.   In the “hierarchy” of the worshipers one can achieve a special class or job which there are many of. Some are more important and some require magic, while some are just best handled by a special kind of people. Each class/job has a special role in the worshippers's community. Here are the most important classes:/jobs   BLINDMAN:Seers who are blessed with the gift of seeing the future. Also act as judges when a crime has been committed     FIREFLY:The keepers of the Toasthen. They carry a glowsack on their back to attract the toasthens attention.     LANTERN-CARRIER:The warriors and protectors of the Worshippers, trained in the art of carrying. Very dangerous warriors, but if you break the lantern in which they carry the flame they fight with, they are limited to their spear and are thereby not as deadly anymore.     ASHMOTHER AND ASHFATHER: the small group/ council of elders leading the fire worshippers     WARMER: The healers/menders who are famous for fixing wounds without leaving scars             Traditions   Bed of Flames- When someone has committed a heavy crime, they are to be bound to a stone bed, clad in sticks. A stick is then litten on fire and if everything burns down, they have been deemed guilty and punished. However, if the fire dies out, then the person is free, since they have been judged and forgiven by God herself.   Highsun-A week during winter when the sun never goes down. The fire worshippers spend the whole week praying at the end of each day, burning essence and gifts and eating special food. At the start of the week a giant hay statue of Exardocas, the god of fire and at the end of the week, is burnt to the ground.   Eve Of Lanterns-One late summer night, when the stars shine bright, hundreds of lanterns with lit fires are released into the sky, as a symbol of respect for those who have left this life and how their inner fires have ascended to become stars.       Religion   The entire Fire-worshipper society is based around what most people refer to them as; "fire worship". Flames and fire is of course important symbols, so candles and lanterns are everywhere. The class hierarchy is also based around religion, specifically what role you have and how it relates to Exordas. Laws and punishment are also "religious". The fire worship religion itself is based on the fact that fire is both the giver of all life, through warmth, cooked food and safety, but also the taker of life. Fire is therefore something you should respect and devote your life to. In this religion are born equal, even though some people have higher positions in society. The warmth inside you is also Exordases fire, and when you die that fire will leave your body and become a star in the sky. Stars, just like you, are children of the sun. Since there is life (fire) inside everyone, no life is worth more than another. The fire worshippers don't believe in Spiritbeings either. Light is, just like fire, Exordas presence in the world, and spiritbeings are manifestations of her.       Culture(food, clothing, arts)   Most people wear loose, layered pieces of cloth, just like Great Farmers, but most of the Fire worshippers' clothes are dyed orange, yellow and red, for obvious reasons. The shape of the triangle is also prevalent in a lot of the culture, and a lot of the clothing and buildings adhere to the shape.       Societal norms and rules   A flame is always kept lit somewhere nearby to keep the essence of the sun present. There is a strict hierarchy among the Fire Worshippers, and although all people are the same in the eyes of the Exordas, some families have higher status. While there is no one leader, noble families control most of the population.       Relation to other groups
