Face Veil (Indie)

These veils are designed to obscure an Indie mother's face so as not to startle her non-blockhead children. At their most basic, they're a short cap fitted to the blockhead's crown, with the front panel replaced by a thick mesh enabling the mother to use her infrared vision while completely masking her features. At the bottom of the mesh panel are two fittings for a string or leather cord which is looped behind the neck before the cap is fitted on, so that the mother can lean over without revealing herself. For bedicked, hermaphroditic, and transitioned blockheads, a hole is cut into the cap and mesh for the horn to fit through.
More personalized veils might have beads, Bits, or bones strung from the mesh, or the face of the daughters' species will be painted over the mesh.

Manufacturing process

1. Measure recipient's head-shape. 2. Stitch the cloth into a fitting cap, with front side uncovered. 3. Attach the mesh to front to completely cover the face. 4. Attach string/cord to bottom so that bottom of veil sticks to back of neck. 5. Decorate!
