Dick Grayson

Richard John Grayson (a.k.a. Dick, Nightwing)

Dick Grasyon aka Nightwing. Batman's first partner, Robin.
Born and raised as a part of a family of circus aerialists, The Flying Graysons, Dick traveled with Haly's Circus as a child. His family fell to their deaths or serious injury when mob boss Tony Zucco arranged an "accident" with the trapeze wires when Dick was 9. After a short stint in juvenile hall because there were no spaces in the orphanages, Dick was taken in by Bruce Wayne, aka Batman.
Dick became the first Robin and was a founding member of the Team.
When he was 15, Dick was abducted by Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, and held captive for approximately 6 months. Upon his escape, he took several months to recover before assuming a new hero identity as Nightwing.
While Aqualad was in deep cover, infiltrating the Light, Nightwing assumed leadership of the Team. When Aqualad completed that mission, Nightwing turned the leadership role back over to him. As Team leader, Nightwing acted as a mentor to the current Robin, Tim Drake.
Dick currently lives in Bludhaven, working part time as a information security consultant, and attempting to gain a place in the police academy.
