Agentha

Homeworld of the Brek

Art by unyxium, I do not own this artwork.
Angetha is the third planet within the Trantos Star System and the Homeworld of the Brek. Angetha is one of the five planets within the Milky Way Galaxy that was able to harbor intelligent life. Angetha has an extremely high gravity, nearly 25% more than Earth, making all naturally occurring life on its surface low to the ground, no taller than a regular Human, and extremely bulky. Angetha was the first planet discovered by humans to have intelligent life in the form of the Brek. As of 7689 CE, Agentha has a population of 51 billion living in megalopolises and low Agentha orbit satellites and spaceships and is a major planetary member by acting as the secondary capital world of the Solarian Federation.

Geography

Agentha has a total of two supercontinents, Varn and Vol, that were formed after the moving of tectonic plates. Most of the planet is covered in a massive ocean of salt water, but a large landlocked ocean called the Lalaartian Sea is made of fresh water. Mountain ranges dominate the planet's northern hemisphere but are somewhat squatted due to its high gravity pushing down on their tips. The planet's tallest mountain is Mount. Sinaal, an 8274-meter tall mountain in the Quindahl mountain range on Vol. The planet's north and south poles are covered in frozen ice and are the main sources of the magnetosphere. Half of the north pole is the northernmost part of Varn while the other half is solid ice.

Ecosystem

Agentha is covered in mostly sub-tropical with large deserts. The planet's equator is a tropical rainforest of immense size and density, with most native organisms living in the thick Habraon Jungle. Outside of the equator, most environments are deciduous-like forests, tropical savannas, and grasslands.

History

Agentha is the homeworld of the Brek. Their society started as matriarchal clans and rivaling packs of hunter-gatherers. Through the ages, their society evolved, unlocking the power to split the atom by the Earth year 2013 CE. Conclifts between nations escalated afterward, with the threat of nuclear war a real possibility. However, treaties and peace talks between nations managed to cool most tensions before a nuclear holocaust could occur. In the year 2043, space travel became a reality for the Brek species as countries desired to expand their influence beyond Agentha's atmosphere.   It was in the year 2061 that the first Brek landed upon their moon Trywald. Soon after the first pictures of Agentha were released to the public, a new form of environmentalism spread across the globe. Due to mounting pressures from the public, governments across the planet started to de-escalate planetary climate change caused by gas fuels. As time continued and nations became more united and collectivist, the Aganthian Federation was created in 2149 CE, with the homeworld as the capital.   Under this new government alliance, the Brek species spread outward from Agentha and into the greater Trantos Star System. It was during this time that Agentha as a planet encountered a shortage of materials, specifically metal, and required the mining of asteroids and large quarries on other planets to continue its economy. By the year 2926 CE, the time when the Agenthian Federation was spread outward across multiple star systems, the first contact with humans was established. First contact started peacefully and the first Human explorer landed on Agentha's surface in 2928.   As time grew, however, conflicts between Humans and Brek grew ever more consistent. Human corporations like S.C. Bio-Dyne and Alpha Star Industires began exploiting the less technologically developed Brek, just as they had on Humans before them. Agentha finally declared a zero-tolerance policy toward human governments, corporations, and groups who exploited the Brek species and culture. This soon led to many corporations that were in control of the many splinter human governments starting a war against the Agenthian Federation. These short but violent wars created a new military culture around Agentha and its colonial societies. These wars were hard fought by Agentha and the Brek, making it extremely hard for corrupt corporations to make progress in gaining land.   In 3112 CE, Humanity made second contact with the far more technologically advanced Falmir Imperial Union. Being a slave empire, they demanded both Earth and Agentha's servitude to Emperor Alr' Corah. Both replied no, starting the First Imperial War. The war lasted 91 Earth days and was hard fought by the Brek and Humans, who had given up fighting against the Agenthian Federation.   Unfortunately, the war ended with Imperial victory after the Union fired the Eyes of Sav' Torus, a Nicoll-Dyson laser-like megastructure, at Earth and Centauri Prime. Earth's atmosphere was burned away and collapsed while Centauri Prime was annihilated. This single event killed 87% of all Humans and 45% of all Brek in the galaxy. Under threats of being fired upon with the Eyes of Sav' Torus, and with no options left, Agentha surrendered, allowing it and its colonies to be enslaved rather than killed.   Over the next 350 years, Humans, Brek, and other alien species encountered by the Falmir Imperial Union became slaves to the empire. Agentha's cultures were slowly destroyed over hundreds of years by the Union to keep them subservient. Hundreds of Agentha's cities, monuments, and history were destroyed in this process. Agentha became polluted and was being strip-mined for resources.   In the year 3352 CE, Agentha became one of the many focal points of the Imperial Revolution, where enslaved Brek, Humans, and other species rebelled against the Falmir Imperial Union. Agentha's rebellion started out as small groups fighting, at first, an unwinnable fight. Over time, however, the rebellion grew, and soon Agentha was a battlefield. Once the Eyes of Sav' Torus had been disabled by the Mathania Confederacy, Agentha joined with many other regional powers to drive the Imperial Union back.   After the successful revolutionary war, Agentha joined forces with the new planetary governments to create the Solarian Federation. It was debated whether Agentha should considered the capital of the new government but it was ultimately decided that the newly discovered Earth would become it instead. Still, Agentha in the modern Galactic Era is a vitally important planet and serves as a secondary capital planet to the Solarian Federation should Earth's ability to govern successfully waver. The planet's natural environment, atmosphere, and history have all been restored and Brek living on their homeworld live in peace and comfort like their Human allies.
