Omnis Militaris

Pax Romana

The Omnis Militaris can trace its origins to Citizen Levies in the early days of the Republica Romani after the In Ruinam Iniquitas Regum when the Kingship of Roma was abolished. Through various reforms and technological advancements through out the centuries and millennia the makeup of the Legions changed and with the last and most drastic change with the Edicto de Militaris in which was the most drastic change of the Omnis Militaris.   As it stands after the passing of the Eight Edicts the Omnis Militaris is divided between the Legio or army and the Classem or navy. These divisions are divided again into Vigil and Vis categories, Vigil for defense and enforcement of Roman Laws and Vis for offence and bringing Roman Laws. The Vigil Legio stands as the police force of the Empire, the Vigil Classem stands as a Coast Guard to protect Roman ships and shores from pirates.
