The Split

The Split breaks The Heartlands in two and is a rich source of both iron and gold, and deeper to the centre, Adamantine. The rivers that run through the range work well to shift shipments via barges towards the larger cities, and despite the dangers of the wilds, the traderoutes are relatively well watched. The only exceptions being the short stints through the Watchwoods where entire shipments have disappeared without a trace.
Once, the mountains were rich with Spellstone but now almost all is mined out.
