Ascian is the God of the Present, Knowledge, Literature and the Mind. Patron of wizards; Ascian is worshiped by scholars, scribes, and all magic users alike.
Ascian appears as an average built man; a young man with bright and curious eyes; or an old man with a walking staff, each with well groomed features and clothing. As the most passive of the 5 gods of Onism, he promotes peace and brings about him a calming aura. Similarly to Mizpah, he encourages the use of magic to be lawful and within the realms of control, but understands the necessity for chaos. A collector if knowledge of all kinds, he is known to be a mediator between the gods and is typically asked for blessings when one is experiencing poor relationships.
However, Ascian favors his knowledge collectors above all else. A holy library in his name was erected to hold all existing knowledge; travelers from all over will settle down in his city to spend the rest of their lives collecting all of its knowledge.
His chosen mortal for the creation of the House of Onism was Syviis Dulieu. The Dulieu bloodline continues to hold power under Ascian's name as he grants them his potent magical powers.
