King Wolfsbane Lefryn

Wolfsbane ruled Lefryn until the age of 83. Aged around 40, he put down a rebellion by King Greaven of Darhaven and Queen Symdal of Tychachia. His son, Leo, fought alongside him during these battles. Aged 70, he welcomed Gavin Carter to feast in his hall to mark the battle of Aemon's Bridge.

The War of Three Kingdoms, 237-239 T.A.

Wolfsbane, King of Lefryn, faced an uprising from the vassal kingdoms of Darhaven and Tychacia. Although incredibly outnumbered, Wolfsbane proved himself a powerful commander. After a two year campaign, Wolfsbane whittled down his enemies. Defeating Queen Symdal, he chased the armies of Darhaven back to their capital of Sandwall and faced them on the sand plains, in the event known as the Seige of Sandwall.
The Seige of Sandwall was a lightning-quick two-day affair. The first day saw Wolfsbane march on the city with his forces, after sending out splinter forces to mop up pockets of resistance and scout activity in the surrounding areas. Wolfsbane had many a skilled warrior and magic caster in his force, including the Fire Tempest Company who provided powerful artillery support and had managed to sow the fields of battle with explosive oil barrels which were triggered at opportune moments during the conflict assault. With the two armies joined, Wolfbane's troops held the line effectively until his son, Prince Leo, broke the Sandwallian forces with his cavalry.
After the victory, Wolfsbane realised his troops faced high bloodshed if making a purely full-frontal assault. Following the advice of his advisers sourced from a deserting scout, he sent a small splinter force into an abandoned entrance to the Sandwall sewer system. Whilst his forces drew Sandwallian rebels to the gates, the splinter group was able to gain entry to the castle, manoeuvre its way to the throne room and capture King Greaven. The splinter force proceeded to defeat the female warlock protecting the king and hang the body of a dead guard out of the window to symbolise the taking of Sandwall Keep. Magically projecting their voices, the city heard the group's cries of "The King is Dead", and the last stand of the rebels was quickly quelled.
Wolfsbane's forces took heavy damage in the assault on the front gate. A number of Sandwallian mages had protected the gate with magical barriers which slowed the entry of Wolfsbane's troops. An unusual amount of powerful magical activity was also reported, with rare and foreign creatures such as a gorgon and several minotaur being reported to have heavily wounded the frontline troops, and a number of illusions reported to have been experienced amongst the Lefrynians. These disappeared shortly after the fall of the keep. Greaven was delivered alive and relatively unharmed to Wolfsbane, whilst the body of his dead female mage protector burnt from a residual inner magical fire shortly the next day.
King Greaven of Darhaven and Queen Symdal of Tychacia were permanently removed from power and they and their families exiled. Wolfbane kept back the youngest child of each to raise in the capital as noble prisoners, with an aim to deter future insurgencies. The people of Sandwall were given full pardon on the condition they swore allegiance to their new lords: Wolfsbane's aunt, Limadra, took control of the Kingdom of Darhaven, and his younger brother, Carmillan, the Kingdom of Tychacia.
