The Nine

The Nine were brought together under Laren Vizdenial in the fight against the Giant Menace, which led to the First Age. They were the most powerful elven mages in Ilarium, skilled in both blade and magic.
They aided the creation of a number of magical artefacts to equip the elven armies, most notably the Azuli, which they wielded themselves.¹ The Nine were the following:

Laren Vizdenial

The most powerful member of the group. He founded the alliance and went on to found the Empire of Vizden.

Nalmia Thilinae

Vorael Taromaerith

Vorael was the original wielder of The Primordial Stone. He created it from the blood of a Black Dragon slain single-handedly with his hammer.

Sirilonwe Direnni

Sirilonwe was a great warrior who wielded a greataxe in battle. As she slew the giant menace the blade awoke with her power to become sentient. She named the blade Tide Breaker for its ability to cut through the enemy hordes wherever they stood. Sirilonwe was buried alongside her blade on the island of Bygone Isles" href="/w/ilarium-Hardiman12/a/motu-article">Motu in the First Age, surrounded by artistry of her battles with giants and their defeat. However, Neskull, who has a strong fascination with giants, later destroyed all traces of Sirilonwe and the giant's vulnerabilities from this art on Bygone Isles" href="/w/ilarium-Hardiman12/a/motu-article">Motu and instead made the artistry a shrine to their being.
Sirilonwe's twin was Cylaril Direnni.
