Delg

Often referred to as the Foothills of Delg or the Kingdom of Delg. The foothills are completely criss-crossed underground with dwarven mines, the remnants of the Kingdom of Delg. It is possible to walk from Kragmere to Harthmore without once needing to leave the tunnels.
The Delgians hate humans because of Ragnar and the disasters which followed his death.
The earthquake of Ragnar opened cracks in the caves which broke through to the Underdark in several places. The southern hills and tunnels are now overrun with Draegloth, which attack the dwarves of the southern region and also make forays into the forest of Harthelen and attack the elves there. The northeastern region has been under a constant assault from Duergar who are slowly but surely gaining a foothold in the world above. Formorians can also be found plumbing the dark depths.

History

In the Second Age, the dwarves in the west of Vizden rose up under the House of Delg. Once Vizden was overthrown, House Delg assumed the position of ruler over the region, which was named the Foothills of Delg.
