The Awaking

A plan years in the making, Tharizdun has placed his pieces into the world and is now only waiting for them to put together his escape.

The gods know of parts of his plan and a few have chosen heroes to try to stop Tharizdun and his warlock from doing harm to the universe itself, they have chosen the people that seem the most likely to be able to do their goals

Now many a follower of his have shown up again and the world has been in more chaos than ever even without him so it is a question of when will things fall apart more than if it will fall apart

Tharizdun contacted Mantra when she was rather young and became her patron and has gifted her magic at the price of doing what he asks, though she is unaware of his identity and believes she has made a pact with the raven queen

His followers have became rather active as of late and have started to pose a danger to common people and right now The Blackend Hand have became concerned about it as cults tend to pose some danger to crime families

The cult that Ellie is from is one of Tharizdun and she was meant to be fated to be a sacrificial lamb as her bloodline has ties to some of Tharizdun's best followers though she was not told this and ended up running away so the cult has sent her dear friend

Istus is very aware of the danger that lurks for the reams and so has contacted a skilled thief that is fated to become one of the best thieves of his age to steal the gem of the chained soul, which is one of the things that Tharizdun will need to free himself as it is where his soul is being kept and if it got reunited with him he'd get about half of his power back

The gem is right now in the possession of the princess and is under the name of the hope diamond, the princess got it from a sage trying to gain her favour and has grown found of it and has no idea on how much magic it has

Aphrodite has heard a bit about the issue and all she knows is that Apollo's seer said that the blinded woman would help bring back a danger to the very universe itself, she on the request of ares chose one of her own paladins to kill the woman as the girl probably has no idea of the evil she could do so a merciful death would be best and one of ares's followers would give her no such thing

So she told Adam, a man with a kind heart deep down to kill the woman, she left out the mercy thing but believed that Adam would make the right choices when the time comes
