Ospos Republic

Origins: Seafaring people originating on the northern isles of Ledosai, raided down coast for centuries, eventually began setting up outposts that grew into colonies and becoming an expansionist and aggressive democratic republic.
Early History: Several competing cults of war grew out of this time, though ironically a religion of nominal peace would win out with the adoption of Our Lady of Divine Descendance becoming the predominant faith of Ospos
Intermediate History: After several periods of unrest where colonial rebellion repeatedly threatened the country's overall stability, reforms were undertaken to allow conquered territories to eventually join the Congress of Osopos and have full voting rights after a period of 10 years. This amount of time being chosen so as to allow Osposi integration schools to get a foothold in foreign populous's.
Recent History: Conquered the island of Rethyr from the native Rethyri and founded a trading port, paid little attention to it for decades due to beginning a conflict that would become known as the The Maelstrom Wars in 0029-3 G.E
Current Affairs:The war with the Sunlonder Confederacy has ground down with both sides taking heavy losses.
