Fenric (a.k.a. Fen)

Fenric is a wandering herder that mostly inhabits the central Badlands of Sercia. He loves his horse more than anything in the world.

General Physical Condition

Fenric has been a hard worker all his life, so he's very fit and muscular. Due to his more bulky build, he's more combat-focused rather than agility or stealth. He is generally attractive according to Karini beauty standards.

Apparel & Accessories

Fenric wears the same clothes most of the time - simple droving gear, thin shirt, huge green overcoat, a variety of bandanas, and riding boots. He almost never walks anywhere, he's always riding his trusty companion, Blister. When out of town, he always brings his magic satchel that can fit anything inside.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Spent childhood and a few adult years working with a powerful organization of bounty hunters from Karini. Was sold off as a child for pocket change, and began training in combat, stealth, and tracking. He had made several friends within the organization during childhood. His best friend, after betraying his squad in a mission to find a deadly black market assassin, was ordered the death penalty. To test his skills and hardness, Fenric was ordered to do the deed. He couldn't bring himself to do it, so he was banished to one of the outer, less important cities in the Badlands. His only job was to watch out for his assigned assassin, and if, by miraculous circumstances, she shows up in his town, he is to have her killed. Only then would he be let back in.

Almost no academic education, but extensive knowledge and specialty in combat. Was also taught navigation/tracking, stealth, and negotiation.

Employment

Used to work for bounty hunting organization, but once banished, lives days as a herder/drover. Though he misses his old friends and life, he finds great joy in roaming the open land. He mostly droves cattle, but occasionally (when the season is right) herds wild Alizarin steeds.

Mental Trauma

Anyone who works in the life-taking industry has at least a bit of mental trauma. He often gets lesser flashbacks to certain kills and missions, but his biggest affliction is the death of his best friend. after he refused to take his life, Fenric had to watch as they murdered him in the most painful way possible. Occasionally, he'll wake up screaming from violent nightmares, and it takes hours for his body to calm down.

Intellectual Characteristics

Fenric, despite his past, is a very fun-loving and aloof person. He understands people and their feelings, making him a good friend to have. He loves music and plays a variety of instruments - if he can't get his hands on one, then he hums. You can find Fenric humming in anything he does.

Virtues & Personality perks

Fenric is d a n g e r o u s when those he loves are being threatened or in danger. Despite his outgoing and friendly nature, only very few are close to him. When he feels deeply about somebody, he would die a million times over again before anyone touches so much as a hair on their head.

Hygiene

Fenric's house is a complete pig stye. He doesn't wash his dishes, doesn't make his bed, barely ever changes his clothes and never cleans up after himself. He doesn't mind it. One Rei started bunking with him, though, some amount of order was restored to the dwelling.

Fenric is a very confident talker. He loves to talk. He is very comfortable socializing with literally anybody. He's very friendly and outgoing, and everyone in town sees him as a friend. Because of this, he can be cocky and self-absorbed at times, thinking everyone loves him.

Hobbies & Pets

Fenric is head over heels for his best friend, his pal, his buddy, his horse, Blister. Whenever he's bored, they go out riding together until sunset. When he's sad, they go out riding together until sunset. When he's angry or flustered, they go out riding together until sunset. He'll even be pretty damn happy and they'll go out riding together until sunset. Fenric loves his horse, and feeling the sandy Karini winds whisking through his hair.
