Groundhogs

beginning in the late 21st century (~130 PA), parts of earth developed a startling level of anti-spacer sentiment. Spacers are perceived as weaklings, tricksters, and generally to smart for their own good. The growing dominance of spacers in earth's markets (especially the tourist industry) has been met with growing hostility among Groundhog culture. Spacers view groundhogs as snobs, living in luxury with no right to do so. Groundhogs are intolerant, ugly, and bloated, pampered by high gravity and large living spaces. As of 2219, there are more humans living in space that on earth.
