Lake Shore
Lake Shore is, as the name implies, a community on the shore of Fish Lake in Carvasia. Lake Shore is an import export station supporting the farming communities of Carvasia. Farming products not suited for overland transportation to Cove Port are instead sent over water from Lake Shore. Lake Shore is also a support community for ships traveling to and from the mines of Striceland .
Demographics
Lake Shore is made up primarily of Carvasians. However, there was a small community of Stricers on the northern shore.
Government
Due to the large amounts of trade, Lake Shore has its own First, Second, Agriculture, Welfare, Trade, Internal, Treasury, Commerce, Justice, Defense, and State Ministers. The Cabinet is responsible for receiving payments from the outlying communities, settling appeals, and delivering payments to Cove Port.
Defences
Lake Shore's defense consists solely of Carvasian military presence.
Industry & Trade
Most of Lake Shore's residents work in some sort of service. They are innkeepers, tavern workers, bath servants, longshoreman, or temporary military troops. There are also a handful of government jobs in Lake Shore. These government workers are employed in customs work.
Infrastructure
Lake Shore is the midpoint for ships coming down river from the mines in the north. This includes mines in Striceland as well as Carvasia. As the only settlement of worth, Lake Shore is equipped with a network of docks, a garrison of Carvasian troops to watch for smugglers and keep the peace, a small flotilla of Carvasian naval ships to maintain order on the lake, and multiple taverns, inns, and baths for miners coming to and from the mines.
Assets
Lake Shore's true value is in its export of sensitive food stuffs. Its service industry makes a modest income for the residents, taking full advantage of miners and soldiers with newly earned pay in their pockets.
Guilds and Factions
There are smuggling operations in Lake Shore and their bribes built infrastructure thinly veiled as legitimate, often even named after the smuggling captain that funded the project. There is also a sub-cooperative group consisting of service professionals. They work to fix pricing and share in any wealth gained. The small Stricer community stays to itself and works to bring up its own.
Architecture
The architecture is well cared for wooden docks with a cobbled shoreline and streets. Buildings are whitewashed and single and double story.
