Drop 3 - Training Mission

Mission Brief
We're trying to build a local defense force of MechWarriors here on Biota. Our pilots are inexperienced and untested, and we'd like you to help us train them. We've picked up a troubling signal which may represent hostile activity, which seems like a good opportunity to send our new defense force out to handle it. Can you bring along an experienced MechWarrior and Mech to keep them out of trouble?     Drop Deck
Pilot Mech
KooKoo Vulcan VL-2T
Stubble NPC Commando COM-2D
FlapJacks NPC Urbanmech UM-R60
Pontoon NPC Urbanmech UM-R60
Action Report
Let me set two things straight right here and right now. One, this was not a real mission, it never happened, and I wasn't there. Two, if anyone makes the obvious joke about 'nurse maiding' the yokels I will FUCKING hurt you!   [Edit - the commander wouldn't accept the original write up]   We dropped on the outskirts of an empty and war torn city. I moved up into the trees to scout ahead while the 3 blind mice followed as best they could. As we closed on the city I got a blip on the sensors which turned out to be a Stinger. I moved up and fired at it. The mice ran around in circles and shot at the trees mostly. Stubble did manage to hit the Stinger with one SRM missile. The Stinger ran past me to try and get at Stubble completely ignoring me. Was this a sibling rivalry thing? The Stinger pilot didn't seem any brighter than my mice. Maybe they're related? Inbreeding seems to be a professional sport on Biota.   I didn't want to waste good ammo on this shit drop so I kicked the fuck out of the Stinger. Stubble pushed something shiny in his cockpit and a random volley of missiles ended the Stinger.   Lucky shot   I ordered the mice to the evac zone when Summi called out another Dropship inbound. I pushed the mice for all they were worth and prepared to fight a rearguard action. The reserves turned out to be a Falcon... when did you last/ever see a Falcon in combat?   Fucking nightmare comedy...   The mice all ran back to see the shiny mech and spray more ammo into the trees. I kicked the Falcon a few times and was ready to blast it to pieces when Stubble somehow managed to shoot it in the back.   The Falcon pilot ejected?!?   WTF?   FlapJack got credit for 2 kills. He's a fucking hero!!!   At least the pay was good.     Mission results
