Drop 1 - Lost Supplies

Mission Brief
We've become aware of a convoy transporting supplies to a pirate facility. We'd like those supplies to become 'lost', if you take my meaning. We will provide the coordinates to locate the shipment, and handle any cleanup after the convoy 'goes astray'.   Drop Deck

Action Report
The lance dropped outside of sensor range from the convoy's anticipated location. Using the tree line Moon Rabbit scouted ahead in the Assassin. He stayed within the tree line while the rest of the lance moved up as quietly as 105 tons of bad intentions could.   Peeking over the ridge our scout picked up 2 unknown mech contacts moving in our direction. Enemy contact was imminent.   Sweat broke out on KooKoo's forehead. This was her first independent command. First contact with the enemy. She had a lot to prove.   KooKoo ordered Moon Rabbit west towards the high ground in the direction intel said the convoy would move - the same direction she took the Vulcan. She sent Packrat in the Firestarter due north towards the convoy's probable location. She silently cursed the damn urbanmech for the slow as fuck trashcan it was and ordered Barbarian to move directly towards the enemy. If that thing took the time to maneuver the battle would be over before it got there. She'd gambled precious time getting it re-fitted with that huge UAC10 the commander had issued to her and she needed its firepower now.   The enemy contacts resolved into a Wasp and an Urbanmech just as sensors picked up the convoy - 4 military vehicles. The vehicles were too far away for the sensors to register their weapon load outs but the enemy mechs finally resolved and the cursed Trashcan had a PPC! FUCK!   Weapons fire ripped the jungle canopy and hammered at mechs the two sides exchanging largely ineffective fire. Moon Rabbit, Packrat, and KooKoo all missed their opening volleys of fire - no doubt Barbarian would have missed too if the cursed Urbanmech ever made it to the battle.   Then the vehicles started to move and they were fast, too fucking fast. KooKoo realized that the lance had to move and move now if they were going to catch the convoy. That said they couldn't afford to turn their rear armor to that damn enemy Trashcan and its PPC.   She ordered Moon Rabbit to sprint ahead of the convoy and cut them off before they reached the evac area. She ordered Packrat to move in behind them to block their retreat. KooKoo and Barbarian would square off against the Wasp and the enemy Trashcan.   The Wasp pilot moved like it's namesake firing its lasers at KooKoo. She imagined the pilots surprise when she opened up with her UAC5 at close range. Not a standard build for the Vulcan and certainly not what the Wasp pilot expected. The wasp went down quickly but not before the enemy Trashcan managed to light up Barbarian with its PPC. A heavy blow that threw electrical shortages all across Barbarian's console as the PPC arced across the Urbanmech.   Barbarian knew her business rushed at the enemy Urbanmech knowing that her UAC10 had no minimum range but that the PPC was ineffective up close. KooKoo followed the move and closed as well. The enemy pilot saw what lay in store for him and ejected as the UAC rounds hammered into him.   Moon Rabbit got ahead of the convoy and jumped down into its path. Machine gun fire rattled off of the Assassin's armor but found no flaw as the mech's foot crushed the vehicle. Packrat in the Firestarter followed suite with the added insult that he triggered his flamers each time he crushed one of the convoy - sadistic bastard. As Moon Rabbit prepared to stomp the last vehicle it let loose a barrage of short range missiles one striking him in the head.   With the convoy and its escort destroyed the dropship began its descent to recover Elhaz lance.   Mission results
