The Rat Stack

The Rat Stack is a local cantina in Jeeva city owned by a besalisk named Jakkard Grattik. It's located in between the Stacks and the spaceport, usually attracting locals and those arriving from the port alike. Grattik runs the place fairly casually, holding tabs and having a friendly atmosphere. Sometimes Grattik has to be reminded to run the place and patrons will often leave credits and get the drinks themselves or order from the service droid that helps around the place, 3U-22 or Buzz as most people call him. The namesake and mascot, an orange and yellow furred pile rat named Skraal, runs around freely often causing mischief for patrons but loved none the less. He's made his little pile in a darker corner of the building. The main room, a domed area, is richly decorated with Grattik's many trophies from his adventuring days including his lucky hat, an old slug rifle, and the mounted head of an exotic beast. The bar takes up one wall with a fire pit situated in the middle with tables and booths spread out somewhat haphazardly about the room. It's considered one of the centers of the community in Jeeva and the locals always suggest it to any spacer asking for a place to drink.

Architecture

Constructed with the dark volcanic stone that many other buildings on Jeeva are made of. The dome houses the bar with a smaller side building attached to it. The entrance side of the dome is covered in decorative rugs and patterned runs of cloth. Sheet metal wraps the lower parts of both the dome and the side building close to the ground.

History

The cantina has been around before the Empire moved in. Grattik bought it when it was just a warehouse and converted it.
