Dr. Kelsey Raines (a.k.a. Stopwatch)

Kelsey Raines was born and raised in London, but moved to Geo City just before High School, at which point she met Rodney Nightingale. Rodney was quick to discover that Kelsey was not only MG Positive, but potentially the most powerful MG Positive to ever exist, having the ability to traverse and manipulate both Space and Time. Her grades in History class reflected this, as half the time she was the best student in class, answering questions in greater detail than the book itself provided. The other half of the time she was the worst student in class, but insisted that she was right and the book itself was wrong.

Kelsey is hesitant to take on Crime-Fighting, as she has tried using her powers for good before, but every single time she prevented a historical disaster, it always set off a chain reaction that led to even greater disasters, forcing her to go back in time again to stop herself. However, the arrival of Cyrus Powell and the death of her parents is enough to encourage her to focus on the present and use her powers for good.
She becomes obsessed with learning how to be a doctor, so that at a moment’s notice she can freeze time and perform a much needed medical procedure during the heat of battle. Her dedication eventually makes her one of the most renowned surgeons in the world.
When Kelsey and Rodney got married, Rodney knew how much Kelsey missed her parents, and decided to become Rodney Raines instead of Kelsey Nightingale, despite the powerful legacy carried by the Nightingale name. Virginia Raines is the first Nightingale-born child of the Legacy.
